Karen Hasselo's passion for creating empowerment tools for mothers of special needs children was fueled by her own personal odyssey. In 1994, her beloved and longed-for adopted, 21-month toddler, Mark, received a diagnosis of autism, marking the beginning of her descent into the "dark night of the soul." By the time Mark was seven years old, he had also been diagnosed with childhood bipolar disorder and multiple other health impairments. She experienced the loss of lifelong friends, her sixteen-year career, and her 21-year marriage. Along the way, she grappled with the stress of managing a six-year, full-time home therapy program, navigated the complexities of "fighting the systems," faced outsider's judgments, financial insecurity, and made the difficult decision to place her son in a facility when he was 13 years old, all while dealing with severe debilitating chronic illness.

As an INFJ (The Counselor) here to fulfill the role of life path 11 in numerology, she has been called to inspire others and illuminate spiritual truths. Her career spanned 16 years, in the field of clinical social work, specializing with children and teens with complex trauma. As a licensed clinical social worker, her focus was on assisting children with the following labels: conduct disorders, executive function challenges, learning disabilities, as well as mood disorders. Her work brought her into close collaboration with families, educators and other concerned professionals across various settings. Never did she anticipate that she would eventually find herself on “the other side of the table,” as a mother to a child with autism and mental illness.

In 2007, she embarked on an active study of spiritual methods for healing, which eventually led her to become a Certified Spiritual Life Coach in 2013. As a graduate of the Holistic Learning Centers, Inc. (HLC) of New Jersey, she delved even deeper into the teachings of influential thought leaders, including Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, and Gary Zukav, through an additional 19 months of residency there.
As a Certified Spiritual Master Teacher and Life Coach, she was guided to offer core tools that deliver profound impact, leading to permanent results in the shortest time possible. These tools transcend intellectual understanding, leading to palpable transformations for mothers and their families.
She considers herself blessed and privileged to serve as a conduit of Universal Love on behalf of the Divine Sisterhood. Her life journey, including her extensive career devoted to working with special needs children, guiding her own special needs son through all developmental phases into adulthood, and her role as a Certified Spiritual Life Coach, have seamlessly converged, placing her in a unique position to benefit the Sisterhood she serves.
